President Trump left the White House today on his way to attend a summit with NATO and the European Union.
He and First Lady Melania’s first stop is the Melsbroek Military airport in Melsbroek, Belgium where Trump plans to continue pressure on other nations to pull their weight.
Donald Tusk, President of the European Union criticized Trump on Twitter earlier today and repeating that the EU is a strong U.S. ally.
Dear @realDonaldTrump. US doesn’t have and won’t have a better ally than EU. We spend on defense much more than Russia and as much as China. I hope you have no doubt this is an investment in our security, which cannot be said with confidence about Russian & Chinese spending 🙂

Trump’s response stunned him.
The European Union makes it impossible for our farmers and workers and companies to do business in Europe (U.S. has a $151 Billion trade deficit), and then they want us to happily defend them through NATO, and nicely pay for it. Just doesn’t work!

Just prior to boarding Marine One, one of the reporters asked Trump to comment on the recent deadline missed for separated immigrant children to be reunited with their parents.
Trump’s response will go down in history.
“Well, I have a solution. Tell people not to come to our country illegally. That’s the solution. Don’t come to our country illegally. Come like other people do. Come legally. … I’m saying this: We have laws. We have borders. Don’t come to our country illegally. It’s not a good thing.”
President Trump is trying to put it in the simplest terms possible for these people, yet they continue to deflect.
